About Us

Kanpur Public School, established in 1999 is located in Chakeri, 1 Km ahead of Chakeri Airport Kanpur.

The school has infra-structural facilities with well-lit, ventilated class-rooms, well-equipped library, lab's, computer, music, art-craft- painting and E-learning rooms, indoor and outdoor games facilities, in open and spacious Play-fields; caring side by side for sanitation and hygienic surroundings in our natural green scenic environment.

To develop, competitive spirit and all round growth of personality, the school has adopted House-System namely; Aravali, Shivalik, Nilgiri and Satpura Houses, where in all the students have been grouped house wise for indoor and outdoor competitions, like Inter-House. English and Hindi Debates, Essay-writing, Elocution, Extempore Speech, Quiz, Group discussion, Group Songs, folk dances classical Dance (Kathak), Instrumental Music as, well as art and craft competitions. Similarly for outdoor competitions, we conduct Inter-House volley Ball, Cricket, Kho-Kho, Football, Kabaddi and Athletics with track events. The Indoor, Inter-House competition namely; Chess, Carrom and Table-Tennis are regularly organized, to develop team spirit and competitive sprit amongst all students martial arts like Taekwondo and Karate as well adventure sports, to boys and girls for self- defence, are part of school curriculum.

Our school is also an accredited centre for National Institute of open schooling (NIOS), under Ministry of Human Resource development, Govt. of India, catering for secondary and senior secondary exams, for the unprivileged students, who cannot afford, attending regular classes due to financial hardships, and thus enables them subsequently to pursue higher studies, as well as appear in various competitive professional exams.

We also have professional & vocational Music Academy Kanpur Sangeet Nritya Kala Kendra, to impart certified professional diploma/ degree course to students and youth certified by Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad, so that Youth can be gainfully employed in various sectors, of Music Industry. School also has approved NCC training for cadets both boys and girls, from 3 UP Air NCC. The school has good transportation facility to pickup and drop students.

SSB classes for recruitment in Defence services are also held regularly under expert guidance of Col. (Retd.) J.N. Agnihotri, for students desirous of joining NDA, IMA, and other National Defence organizations like officers Training Academy, Chennai.

Kanpur Public School, Chakeri is situated 1 km ahead of Chakeri civil Airport, Kanpur was established in year 1999 it was affiliated with CBSE for class X in year 2003 and for class XII in year 2005.

At entry level students are admitted at 3 years or 3 + years in PG, LKG and UKG in class XI, the students have a choice to take Science, Commerce or Humanities (arts) streams.

In addition to CBSE, school also has NIOS Board accreditation for class X & XII.

There is also vocational course in Music affiliated to Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad, which offers professional diplomas in music Instrumental, Vocal, Dances etc. Any child from any class can opt for vocational diploma in Music.

In addition, we have NCC for both boys and girls 9 UP Battalion and where airfore NCC certificates are awarded to meritorious students on completion of NCC training.

SSB classes for entry to prestigious institutes like NDA, CDSE are also being run in school by our founder Director Col. (Retd) J.N. Agnihotri.

About Founder

The school was founded, and established in 1999 by Col. (Retd) J.N. Agnihotri from Army education Corps (AEC).

Col.(Retd) J.N. Agnihotri has had distriguished services record at premier, prestigious defence institutions of India, NDA, IMA, ACTS, Aurgangabad, Principal Sainik School Goalpara, Assam Army Public School, Dhaulakuan Delhi, Maheswari Public School Jaipur etc.

He was also in prestigious panel of recruitment in UPSC exams.
